History of Arizona Cardiology Group

 

The founding partner of Arizona Cardiology Group (ACG), Dr J. Ehrlich began his practice of cardiology in Phoenix in 1969.  His son, Dr I. Ehrlich, joined and, along with Dr J. Fitzgerald, grew the practice to its current 12 cardiologists. Although ACG’s main office remains in Central Phoenix, its physicians provide cardiovascular services throughout the Valley with branch offices in Goodyear, Scottsdale and Tempe.  ACG physicians  remain affiliated with several hospital systems including Dignity St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center since 1972, Banner University Phoenix Medical Center since 1989, Banner University Estrella Medical Center since 2005.  With the addition of the Scottsdale doctors, we have had staff privileges at Scottsdale Healthcare campuses since the 1990s.

 

Our physicians are  active on the medical staff of numerous Valley hospitals, national cardiology organizations and are committed to community efforts at improving the cardiovascular health of all Phoenicians.   Members of our group have served on multiple medical staff committees.  Positions have included chairmen of Departments of Cardiology, presidents of the medical staff, and chairman of the board. While some have served as elected national representatives for the American College of Cardiology (ACC)  others are involved locally with the Maricopa County Medical Society and the Arizona Chapter of the ACC and the American Heart Association
